Minimalistic design and smooth animations for Blue Ocean

Blue Ocean helps companies find sustainable solutions to current business problems and implement them. From sustainability reporting to implementing IoT applications to automatically control offices.

However, the old website appears more like a flyer than a modern conversion driver, and the technical implementation of the site is riddled with bugs and responsiveness problems.

As a result, the old site contrasts with the services offered and harms the image of the up-and-coming management consultancy. Specific challenges before the start of the project were:

• Lack of website scalability due to missing CMS databases for resources
• Outdated and uninnovative design leads to low trust
• Low page speed due to lack of best practices
• Responsiveness issues on mobile devices
• Low SEO performance

Blue Ocean was therefore faced with the challenge of convincing new customers of their pioneering solutions, while the website lagged far behind them.

In order not to waste any more time, working with us needed to bring quick results. A relaunch within 4 weeks was agreed and delivered.

Through a joint mood boarding session, the new look and feel of the site was defined and the perfect preparation for the collaboration was done.

This look and feel was then woven into a CI redesign and the layout of the new page was defined in a wireframing session.

At the same time, the existing copy was optimized for higher conversions and focused heavily on the benefits of Blue Ocean's customers.

At the end of the collaboration, there is a finished Webflow website that can be managed 100% by the internal team. Blog posts can be created in the Webflow CMS in seconds. In this way, the website remains constantly up to date and the content of the static pages can also be edited easily and quickly in the Webflow Editor.
